SHB20116 CERTIFICATE II IN RETAIL COSMETICS
SHB20116 Certificate II in Retail Cosmetics is an entry-level qualification for those who wish to embark upon a career in either the makeup or beauty industries.
This program is delivered on campus at CMA over a period of 6 months. You attend practical workshops where your skills are developed. You also receive comprehensive study plans which step you through your course. Some aspects of this course can be completed at home using CMA’s online learning management system. During the workshops you receive access to a professional makeup kit, instructional videos, notes and handouts. During your course, you will participate in 10 hours of work experience.
All materials are provided.
SHB20116 Certificate II in Retail Cosmetics does not require any pre-requisite studies.
A personal interview may be arranged with the Academy’s Student Liaison Manager. During this interview we will discuss the course content in detail and answer any questions you may have. As placements are limited, your suitability may also be assessed. You may enrol by completing an enrolment form.
CMA’s online system provides students with access to all their course materials in a single place. This includes textbooks, presentations, images, videos, course notes and inspo sites as well as providing access to assignments and our easy upload system for assessment submission. This compliments your class-room learning and ensures you have all the information you need at your finger tips. Students need to have a tablet or laptop to access CMA’s learning management systems, a mobile phone is not an acceptable device.
RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING
Previous work experience or training courses may enable us to deem you competent in certain areas, which will allow exemption from some modules. This process is referred to as ‘Recognition of Prior Learning’ (RPL). As a Registered Training Organisation delivering nationally recognised training, CMA can assist you with this process.
