AWARD WINNERS 2014

Every year we also recognise graduating students who have achieved excellence in the following categories. Below is a full list of winners and videos from the evening in case you missed it on the night.

 

STUDENT OF THE YEAR – Katie Saarikko

The CMA Student of the Year is someone who we have considered ‘a delight’ to teach. They have been encouraging of their classmates, have had a positive attitude, been open-minded and self disciplined. They have committed themselves wholeheartedly to work experience, have developed exceptional skills whilst remaining humble and objective.

 

THE ONE TO WATCH – Taylor Perrin

This award recognises the graduate who we think you need to keep an eye on.  We are expecting great things from this graduate.

 

SPECIAL FX – Jennifer Cresswell

This award recognises the graduate who has displayed exceptional skills in the area of special fx.

 

FACE OFF – Natasha Lusso

This award recognises the graduate who has displayed the best overall skills in bridal, fashion, runway and fundamental makeup design.

 

LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION! – Marie Donnell

This award recognises the graduate with the most original photo shoot concept.

 

MADE FOR MAKEUP – Erinn Neist

This award recognises the makeup graduate who consistently displayed exceptional qualities – this includes attendance, attitude, creativity, aptitude and skills development.

 

THE DO WHAT YOU LOVE AWARD – Lisa Clout

This prestigious award was judged by internationally acclaimed Makeup Artist Rae Morris.  It celebrates loving your new chosen career path by seeking to become an industry leader whilst displaying a high degree of creativity, craft and true technical skill. Students submitted images in three categories for Rae Morris to judge.

SNAPPED – Elle Thomas

The snapped award recognises the best image snapped during 2014 and posted to social media.

 

WERQ IT – Kerrie Fuerste

The ‘Werq It’ award recognises the graduate who has shown outstanding commitment to work experience in the student salon.

 

NAILED IT – Nicole Pearson

The ‘Nailed It’ award recognises the graduate with the best manicure and pedicure skills.

 

THE LITTLE RIPPER – Laura Collyer

The ‘Little Ripper’ award recognises the graduate with the best waxing skills.

 

BEAUTY & BRAINS – Lisa Van Der Hoek

The ‘Beauty & Brains’ award recognises the graduate who has excelled in science and beauty therapy theory.

 

BORN FOR BEAUTY – Adrianna Blaskovic & Tegan Lucardie

The ‘Born for Beauty’ award recognises the graduate who consistently displayed exceptional qualities – this includes attendance, attitude, aptitude and skills development.

 

MISS CONGENIALITY – Amal Le

The ‘Miss Congeniality’ Award recognizes the graduate with the gift of getting along well with others. Miss Congeniality is someone who makes your time at CMA even more enjoyable.

 

CARE FACTOR – Sandy Winters & Kerrie Fuerste

The award recognises the most thoughtful student. This student has shown exceptional care not only for the people around them, but also for their work environment.
